High CHTs on Cessna 175
I cannot seem to control the high CHTs on my 1958 C175 with a Continental
GO300 engine. The CHT probes are on the two rear cylinders run about 450F
degrees on left and 400F on right on takeoff with 100 mph climb out and 400F
left and 375F right at cruise. When I purchased the aircraft it had just had
all new cylinders put on but the baffle seals where bad so I put on new
baffling seals and installed a Airwolf remote oil filter before I flew it. I
now have about 50Hr on the cylinders and 3 oil and filter changes but temps
are still high. Does anyone out there have a solution for this problem or
know someone I could talk to that knows Continental GO300 engines.
