Don't the 430 AND the SL30 have builtin graphical CDIs? Good enough
for emergency purposes.

If you add a second CDI you should be able to drive it in parallel
with the HSI.


They do have CDIs, but no GS indicator, so for VORs and LOC they could do
in a pinch. Also, they are off to the right in the panel, and are not in
the normal scan path. We have an unused standard cutout right next to the
HSI, a good place for a second indicator.
