Can you quote a source on this?

For most of us, if our heads hit the panel in an accident it's because
either the structure or the shoulder harness has broken, and if there's
that high of force involved, survivability is probably iffy anyway.

Not to say a helmet wouldn't help. Had a boss in a moderate car accident
once, and ended up with a pretty bad concussion from his head bouncing off
the side pillar. Mind you, he didn't start wearing a helmet in his Buick
after that....
