You should have no problem finding someone at $20 an hour. Also you
may even look around the local fields for a retired airline pilot. We
know they're broke from the low wages they had to endure, so maybe you
can find some high quality education for that $20.
There are some starving instructors working at the FBOs at CHD that
should be able to help out. Many are independent contractors, so
there's no issue about them working "off the FBO clock". Check
Tailwinds (Formerly Sunbird Flight Services) and Chandler Air Service
FBOs. Also, there are numerous independent instructors that post
their business cards on the big bulletin board in the pilots' lounge.
