Isn't it amazing that the feds will come down on some poor slob who
uses regular foam in his seats and let the big guys do what ever the
hell they want?

retention bolts could fail -- which would be a potentially catastrophic
problem.
Luckily -- and it really is just sheer luck -- my engine was rebuilt in 2002
by a shop that used exclusively Superior (rather than Lycoming) parts -- so
my gear retention bolts don't fall under this new AD.
Man, that's THREE times I've dodged these O-540 ADs, thanks to our decision
to use only Superior parts...
