The engines/props were stolen off a twin that had been sitting for 4
years (the auction of the plane is on Ebay). Just wondering if the
serial numbers are in a FAA or maintenance database somewhere and
could be traced as to where they are now. Any other ideas how to find
them? If they were shipped out overseas, would there also be a record?
Thanks.

So I guess nobody knows a way to trace stolen engines. I suppose if
the owner gets a tip he can always check their engine serial number in
person, but that's about it. Is the FBO or airport liable for
vandalism or theft from aircraft which are paying to base at their
tiedowns?
