And Nevada County (CA) hadn't elected a Democrat in fifty years...until I won in
'95.

It isn't the PARTY, it is the PERSON. In a municipal election, nobody gives a
hairy rat's ass what your PARTY is, but what you will do for THEM.

Tip O'Neill said it best: "All politics are local."

RUN, DAMMIT, RUN.

What's the downside? A few months campaigning? A few bucks for flyers?

What's the upside? Bitching rights for the next four years if you lose, and a
seat at the table if you win.
