Very true! And if the gear does jam there is no assurance that you will be
able to get it down again in flight. Makes for a very expensive tire
change.

We recently had to change main gear tires on our Arrow. I wanted to
consider retreads, but our mechanic nixed it because of the possible wheel
well fit problem.


ALWAYS do a retract test when you install new tires! One time I bought
McRearys. I had to switch sides, as one would not fit one wheel well but
fit the other, while the other tire fit the first well.

I have found Condors to be good tires and have even used Goodyear
recaps, which worked well also. No to McRearys!
