Anyway, YMMV, but it worked out great for me. Lots of room in
there for POH,
batteries for headsets, flashlights, etc. You should be able to get the
tray from a
salvage yard or moldy-old FBO garage junk pile.

This sounds perfect.

You say there is a "standard Piper glove box lid"? I've never heard of
that!

Did Pipers originally come with glove boxes?
