Ouch! One of my most memorable and thrilling flights was from Lake Tahoe to
Reno and back at night in a rented Skyhawk. It was February, and I had taken a
mountain flying orientation that afternoon in the same a/c I rented. It wasn't
a long flight at all, and there was a pass where I could see through to the
valley clearly. Starlight, crystal clear cold air, visibility forever.
