Find out who the local distributor for the parts are.
Call them and ask if they have a hand crimper at their office or if one
of their sales people have one. Explain your situation and ask if you
can borrow or a salesperson can "demonstrate" for you.

I am looking for an in-expensive pin crimper for d-type and Cannon Plug
style pins. The range for wire size needs to be at least 24 to 18 Gauge.
The ones I am currently looking at are DMC/Daniels mil-spec (like the
ones we have at work) and are running in the $500 range. Un-fortunately
I cannot borrow the ones we have a work.
Any help would be appreciated.
