An HE-111, described as the last flying example, crashed in
Cheyenne WY on July 10. The unfortunate loss of the Firefly
in England is offset a bit by the complete restoration of another
ship that won awards at last year's Oshkosh. That was done
at a shop just south of Cheyenne in Fort Collins CO.

This mornings 'rag' paper (Houston Chronicle) had an article headed:
"PILOT CRASHES OLD MIG ON TAKEOFF"
Pilot was flying to an Air Show at Bloomington, IN and stopped at
Little Rock National Airport for fuel. On take-off lost power and was
too far down R/W to stop, running off the end.

"This is the last single seat Mig-15 in the United States". "he feared
that the Mig may be a total loss".

So another old timer bites the dust. Was a old bird that went in a
couple of weeks ago at English Air Show. If you believe the old saying
that accidents happen in three's, we can look forward to another one
 shortly
