As part of the EAA young eagles flights I have taken over 200 kids for
airplane rides. Most after the first 5 minutes in the air want to
see where they live and many even bring cameras. If they do not live
under the approach to the big airport here that is where we go, if
they can tell me how to get there by road directions. I assume they
want to see something that they know in a new way. I try not to bank
over 15 degrees either when making the circle.

Has anyone else noticed this? Many times when my offer to take someone for a
ride is accepted, they show up at the airport with their camera. They tell
me they are hoping to get pictures of their home/farm/neighborhood/dog/kids
from the air and want me to plan the flight with that in mind.
Needless to say, they are most often disappointed. I *thought* they were
invited for a *&^%$ airplane ride - not a blooming dirt mapping expedition!
