John,
I believe most pilots would just fly GPS direct and talk to NY approach for
the class B transition. Altitude would be at your discretion, but should be
an odd altitude plus 500'.

for flying VFR from Caldwell airport in New Jersey to Islip airport on

The type of aircraft I use is a piper Warrior.
