I think it's completed now, but not operational yet. I have heard they
also want to spread some traffic out from the other local airports,
the runway was also extended not too long ago. But you're right, even
at the most busy times there were only 3-4 planes in the pattern, and
most of those were from other airports going to RNM to do touch and
go's. There's always F70...

RMN is functional, it's far enough away from the fire. It's also a CDF
air base so they'll do everything they can to keep it open. (decent
airport too, just expanded with a new tower opening in the spring)
