Default Alodine, then what?

What is an effective way to protect the alodine film? I know I could shoot Zinc Chromate primer (~$8 a can), or use one
of the epoxy two part systems, but I have many small parts (2024-3) and I won't have them all ready at the same time.

What about the latex aluminum primer from Rustoleum: http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp...ct_id=29&SBL=1

I want something that will last through the build process and beyond for a while until the final paint job is done...

Any other alternatives that have proven to be successful?
