Discovery's statement is probably true in the general sense, but there
are black sheep in every herd. I know of a couple of very fine pilots
who are lucky every time they make it safely to the airport from their
home. It has always puzzled me that they could be so professional in
the air, yet reckless behind the wheel of a car.

That's what I was thinking. Some of the best pilots I have ever flown with are
clueless when it comes to driving a car.
