Ha...that reminds me of when I first obtained my instrument ticket in
1990.
I was driving to Reno from the San Francisco Bay Area and as I drove up
the
Sierras in I-80, I entered a cloud (is it fog at 4000 feet?) and vis
dropped
to nothing. The first thing I did was focus on the instruments in the car.
I
was like "Whoa..hey there...this ain't telling me squat!".

Don't feel bad...when the 55MPH speed limit was enacted back in the early
70's, there were several accidents due to people watching their
speedometer's so intently, they...ah, didn't watch where they were going.
