That's interesting. What about the OP's question about _The Savvy
Flight Instructor?_

I've never seen it either, so I looked at what they had on Amazon.
First of all, it is dirt cheap ($14). Second, there are three _long_
reviews and they all liked it. Third, it appears to be about the
career of flight instructing, not the profession--in other words,
it's about how to get and retain a job rather than how to teach.
There are at least a few sample pages you can read there, too.

If you're going to try making a living as a CFI, it looks like a
reasonable investement. At least you'll have something to
read while the student is under the hood.
