within a few days of expiring and the FSDO just gave me a new
(temporary) one. At the time it evidently was quite a common request.
My permanent one did actually show up before the original 120 days
were up, but just barely.
Wasn't that simple in my case. They won't send out a temporary
certificate
just on the basis of my say-so on the telephone. Remember, neither the
FSDO nor OKC has any record of me taking the checkride! Nor, it now turns
out, does my DE. [At least he remembers it.]
