Before you waste too much time on sympathy for this idiot consider the
following - this wasn't just a slip of the tongue, she repeated the same
"joke" three times before incredulous security people. It has ALWAYS been
a criminal offence to joke about bombs on aircraft, not just since 9/11,
and usually people who accidentally make remarks are given a stern warning
and sent on their way. But this was no accident, it was deliberate and
stupid.

Even worse, she was on her way back to England to renew her visa so she
could continue to live in the US with her boyfriend. I wonder how true
love will cope when she finds out she's no longer welcome back in the US?
