I rode a Segway in OSH last summer. I had been curious about the
stability of the thing (since, when stopping, your momentum carries you
forward, which is how you go forward on the thing). Apparently there is
some gyro/circuitry in the thing that compensates, but, at least on the
one I was riding, they must have missed that feature when going
backwards. I tried to go backwards as fast as I had forward. Worked
fine until trying to stop. The thing went unstable (kept going back and
forward at an increasing pace) so I had to bail. Might have just been
that machine.


Shoulda installed a BRS?
