Yep, pilotjoeturner was a pseudonymn that G.W. Fetter made up during a
flame war on rec.radio.scanner.

The reason I'm posting this here is because I got an email this morning
from an unsatisfied customer who was trying to track him down, and
noticed I had posted on rec.radio.scanner.
