Multiply knots by 1.15 (15% more) to get speed in MPH.

Or, you can do simple math: move the decimal over one to the left, add
half more, then add amount to knots.

In other words, 65 knots - move the decimal over equals 6.5, or just 7.

Half of 7 is 3.5, or just 3 (since I rounded up before, round down
now). 7 plus 3 equals 10.

10 plus 65 equals 75. - that's your approximate speed in MPH


Or, if you have your E6-B, look it up there.
