Another option that hasn't been mentioned is a flight club. Depending on
the club's organization, you may find that the buy-in is affordable, the
planes are available and the cost is more reasonable than FBOs. The club
I'm in, for example, does not charge a minimum daily fee which makes flying
to vacation destinations much more affordable (since I'm only charged actual
flight time). Look around for options.
