I use a clipboard which was about $2 from K-Mart.

Since it's US paper sized and a bit too small for A4, if I need
more paper I have to get it while I'm in the US!

I really should invest another £3 or so for an A4 sized one.
But then you know what us pilots are like with spending
money unnecessarily.
