In the US, you can deduct training to MAINTAIN competency, but you cannot
deduct training to ADD ADDITIONAL (marketable) competency. Be careful.


Okay, I guess I should clarify...
.... you can deduct your training for further "instructor" ratings...
(CFI, CFII, Multi-Instructor)
