About a year and half ago I was in the pattern at PNE with a B17. Kinda
neat to be told "you're number 2 behind the B17". Even the controller
got a kick out of it.

My favorite call was when I was inbound to NAS Fallon (NV) for an
airshow/open house. Tower called to let me know that I was, "number 3
behind a P-51 and a B-25. Keep your speed up." Followed by : "Blue
Angel Seven, you are number 4 behind a P-51, a B-25 and a Cessna".

Ok, now that's very high on the "Cool Factor."

Last week as I cleared the active from my lesson, the tower said "Check your
high two o'clock..."

There was the EAA's B17 passing north to south. Beautiful sight! It had
been (IIRC) at Deer Valley for the preceding three days.
