I don't agree about the grammar being too good. I've conversed with people
of many foreign countries whose English is impeccable.
However, the last name "Simons" certainly is not Russian.
I would be willing to bet that this is a scam. I would be sure to first
exchange emails, and possibly even get in touch by phone before I gave any
money.
Not that I don't want to help someone who is truly honest, but I don't want
to support scam artists operating on the Internet.
