You're getting close to the edge, Paul.

Oh heck, Dan. Most of the anti-Bush crowd ran off the edge years ago. Let's
face it: they think that it is reasonable to promote a conspiracy theory
where Bush (who is alleged to be stupid and unable to cooperate with world
leaders) conspired with the Saudi Royal family and Osama bin Laden (who hate
each other) to fabricate terrorist attacks on the United States just so they
could invade Afghanistan and Iraq in order to seize control of a
non-existent pipeline that would benefit them in no way whatsoever, and that
Bush (who is supposed to be stupid) successfully fooled Kerry (who is
supposed to be smart) into supporting this scheme. They apologize for
terrorist attacks, saying that the terrorists have every reason in the world
to do what they do, but that nevertheless all those attacks are being faked
by the White House.

What is scary is that supposedly educated people think this way. It tells me
that they are capable of saying or doing almost anything in order to seize
power and hold it and that they justify their actions by saying that
everybody else is just like them. The inmates took over the European asylum
long ago, with predictable results. Now the loony left threatens to triumph
here. And the even more scary thing is that this may well be the lesser of
two evils. I fear that democracy and freedom are at an end no matter who
wins the election.
