happens to me, too. AFAIK, the Mediaplayer is in version 7 for the MAC and
in version 9 for the PC. don't know what type of carbonized version they
offer.

I suspect it is because MS is not offering any further updates to
Explorer for the Mac. There is a version compatible with OS X 10.3 that
I use to watch some of more recent .wmv postings on my kids iMacs.
