It's been funny, listening to ATC in the hotel lobby today, with the
President just to the North of us in Cedar Rapids. We are just outside of
the TFR, but not by much -- and EVERYONE is paranoid.

Good pilots are repeatedly asking CID if they are clear of the TFR area. As
always, our excellent ATC staff is helpful and friendly -- even with Air
Force One on the ramp.

Thus far, I've only heard one doofus. A biz jet came blasting into the
area, inbound for landing, and casually asked CID if the airport was open
for business. I didn't catch the answer, dang it, but I'll bet it was good.

Honestly, who would fly a biz jet, VFR (I'm guessing), without getting a
briefing?
