Any time I want, I can mentally feel the yoke in my hands and the rudder
pedals under my feet, and smell that unique airplane smell. When I do
this, I get lifted above whatever down-to-earth problems are bugging me.
We're lucky men, indeed.

For sure.

Every day, on my way home from the hotel, I drive past a cemetery. In it
are thousands of men, women, and an appalling number of children who have
gone down the road before me.

I look at them every day, and vow to make my life worth *something* -- to do
whatever it takes to transcend daily existence and to live life to the
fullest extent possible.

Fly more. Use what skills we've been blessed with to rise above the
troubles of this earth.

The clock is wound but once.

:-)
