I need to fly up to Toronto from NY State next Friday AM for a day-long
business meeting.

You probably do not want to flt into Pearson. You'd need a
reservation and have to pay an exhorbitant landing fee. Yes there is
GA in and out of there but it's mostly Lears and the like.

Buttonville Airport CYKZ is a bit further away, being in the
northeast of the city, where Pearson is in the northwest. There are
rental cars available at Buttonville, and a automated toll road that
runs across the northern part of the city and will get you close to
Pearson. A cab ride from there would probably run $60-$80 CAD.

Either City Center CYTZ or Brampton CNC3 are your closest bets. Phone
numbers for FBO's at City Cent

Esso Aviation: 416-361-1100 Freq 123.2
Island Shell Aerocentre 416-203-2424 Freq 123.35

Customs: 1-866-226-7277 avail. 12-04Z
Flight Service: 1-866-WXBRIEF (992-7433)

FBO at Brampton:
Brampton Flying Club 416-798-7928 Freq Unicom 123.3

I don't know about rental cars or taxis from Brampton. It's a bit out
in the country so I tend to think a taxi might be a problem but you
could call them.

Taxis from downtown after taking the short ferry ride to the mainland
will run $40-$60 CAD. There are lots of hotels around Pearson to stay
at.

Enjoy your stay.
