Not necessarilly.

If all you need to do is run a well defined set of
applications, then MS Windows (or *any* windows system
for that matter) is ok.
The problem with all operating-systems is that they
try to cater for a *huge* range of different
applications and users.

Limit the scope on *a* platform and any windows
system will work fine.
