Is anyone besides me using a wet vacuum pump out there. If so how are you
dealing with the oil output? Do you have an air/oil separator just for it? I
tried tying it into my Christen inverted oil system separator but that does not
work because of the large air volume, (high pressure) from the vacuum pump
compared to the engine breather (very low pressure and low volume). I am
loosing about a quart every 4 hours durring non aerobatic flight. I am running
with about 6 quarts on an IO-360-C1D6 angle valve engine. I don't want to throw
oil away ($$) plus its a mess on the belly. $360.00 from M-20 for a vacuum pump
separator seems alot for what it is.

Mine's a Deshannon and has a line to the wet pump. Works great.

These things are not much more than a set of cans nested, pointing in
opposite direction with the drain out the bottom and the inlets to
separate cans as I recall.
