This is one of those winters where we might consider that maybe the
barnstormers were right. The ones up north knew that if they went
south there would be a glut on the market, prices would go through the
floor and everyone would starve. So, come mid-November, they'd line up
a shed, put the airplane up on blocks, drain the oil, rent a cheap
hotel room with a window that faced a brick wall, line up a hooker and
bootlegger and hibernate.
