I have an old Magellan SkyStar GPS for which I'm trying to find newer
database. The one installed is from '97! More importantly, I'm looking

a PC interface cable to play with. This unit is long discontinued, but

anyone know where I might find what I'm looking for? Perhaps someone
would
sell a used database update kit with cables? I don't fly with this unit
anymore, but I am looking forward to playing with it.

On the cable question:

Magellan (Thales) claims to accept queries on its old units. Have you tried
to get a pinout description from them, and maybe you can fashion your own
cable. But you do have to register...
