I take it you won't be able to get a medical and that is why you want to fly
with your DL instead of with your CSEL and all the glider endorsements. Why
don't you just forget insurance? I have saved enough by not buying
insurance for twenty years to buy another homebuilt like I'm flying. The
way I look at it, if you have to use your liability policy chances are you
won't care, and hull insurance is a gamble. If you screw up chances are the
insurance won't pay to replace your plane anyhow. Cut your losses and drop
your coverage.

I have a wag aero sport trainer that meets all of the sport pilot rules, I
have a commercial SEL,glider Rating and a motor glider endorsement .I have
elected to exercise my privalege as a sport pilot and fly with a drivers
license. the problem is liability insurance,I have a current policy with
Avemco, however ,they don't seem to know what the company policy is and
will
not commit to renewing the policy, I'm still waiting on AOPA,has anyone
else been faced with this probem.
Thanks
