don't you just forget insurance? I have saved enough by not buying
insurance for twenty years to buy another homebuilt like I'm flying. The
way I look at it, if you have to use your liability policy chances are you
won't care, and hull insurance is a gamble. If you screw up chances are

the
insurance won't pay to replace your plane anyhow. Cut your losses and

drop
your coverage.

Jim,

I've heard several people in various forums indicate that if you screw up,
the insuror may not pay for the plane and/or repairs. Are you personally
familiar with any cases of run of the mill accidents e.g. groundloops,
running out of fuel, etc. where an insurance company didn't pay up? I
simply can't imagine that happening. After all, that is why we buy
insurance...
