September 25th, Flamboro Ontario.
RAA Canada is sponsoring a day of Ultralight-focused seminars at Charlie
Cetinski's
Flamboro airstrip. The main event will be a Weight and Balance seminar using
a high mounted pusher engine, to deal with
the CG considerations particular to this type of aircraft. Transport
Canada's Lindsay Cadenhead will outline the regulatory
issues of Weight and Balance for light aircraft, and RAA members and guests
will perform the actual hands-on measurement.
Time permitting, there will be a discussion of inspection and preparation
for winter storage, a demonstration of solid riveting techniques, and a
hands-on demo of aluminum wing rib fabrication, using the Zenith technique.
A barbecue lunch will be available at the field at nominal cost, and all are
welcome to these seminars. It is not necessary to be a National member of
RAA Canada, although it is our hope that participants will consider joining.
Directions to the field will be posted on the
www.raa.ca website.
Please e-mail to
if you will be attending, so that we
may prepare a suitable number of lunches.
