Can the SSA & BGA (& other) contest committees look into getting Red Bull
to sponsor a soaring competition?
They sponsored that bit where people build things that resemble aircraft and
then run off the edge of a platform into a body of water (Lake Austin, in
Texas, among others) and now this.
Maybe they'd be interested in the real deal...

Well, it seems the Middle Ages or Enlightenment period
of Europe did not satisfy man's quest for towerjumping.

Or Channel humping, as the case may be.

Yassuh, a couple days ago it was announced the latest
batwinged jumper will try to jump across the English
(or is it French?) Channel with batwings attached.

Carbon fiber woven batwings, Batman !

Looky here, yall

to see the pitchers and his plans.....

then listen to the news, especially BBC, for the Great
Channel Jump is to happen on Thursday. Yup. It's
all supposed to be over in a matter of minutes if all
goes as planned, or less time if it does not. Across
to Calais, jumping from 30,000 feet.

Go Batman.

Dancing on clouds,

Keep it up!
