News for November 2003:
1. New release of Navigator 1.30
In two months one year will pass since first commercial release of
Navigator. Program has grown from a simple moving map to a full-featured
program for glider pilots. You can find the list on feature page:
http://www.flywithce.com/navigatorfeatures.shtml
In new release there are several new features:
1.1. Wind calculation
Program now calculates wind during circling and straight flight (when
connected to LX Navigation LX160, LX1600, LX5000, LX7000 or Borglet B50).
Program can also receive calculated wind from the instrument (LX Navigation
LX5000, LX7000).
1.2. Updated final glide calculation
Program uses calculated or received wind in final glide calculation and
corrects speed to fly. You can enable and disable use of wind in final glide
calculation with controls on the bottom of the Wind page.
1.2. Import of MC and ballast settings
Until now you had to set MC and ballast settings on your instrument and in
Navigator. Now you can receive those settings from instrument (LX Navigation
LX160, LX5000, LX7000 or Borglet B50).
1.3. Support for additional devices
In last version support for Borgelt B50 and Volkslogger was added. If you
have Navigator connected to those instruments go to Hardware dialog and
change device settings.
2. Winter testing period
If you are looking for a Pocket PC program, you can download and test
Navigator until the end of January. Program will run without limitations on
the northern hemisphere when connected to GPS receiver.
