In central Texas in the winter we have winds out of the south west about 60
percent of the time, out of the north west about 30 percent of the time and
various directions and calm about 10 percent of the time.

In the summer the winds are nearly always from the south east in central Texas.
In west Texas, the winds are frequently out of the south west. In the summer
the wind are frequently out of the east or west in my limited experienxce.
