will allow you to analyze your flight and is accepted for certain
contests. You can later upgrade and connect to a certified flight

Or, get a Garmin Pilot 3 (for the same price new, less used) and have
a moving map that is readable in sunlight, Jeppeson aviation database,
backup final glide info (via vertical nav realtime L/D to
destinations), and a nice trace on the map to find that last thermal
you fell out of. Less eyecandy, but if you already have a glide
computer and logger, a good alternative to a PDA. A lot less wires to
play with, and you can use it in your car when not flying!
