The "Carousel" hangar at Moriarty, NM is an interesting idea. It had 8 15 -
20 meter ships in it almost as soon as it was finished. The glider owners
love it.

Combine the "carousel" idea with the Monolithic Dome hangar and you have a
neat solution that will survive hurricanes and heavy snow loads.

I don't have a financial connection with either enterprise.

We are looking to add a hangar to the airport and wordered what others
have
figured out for the "optimum" length/width/height (door clearance) for a
hangar that would hold a combination of 15m and 17m gliders (6 or more).
Trying to find options that minimizes total cost, so door type and width
also plays a role in the solution. We are at 45 degrees N latitude so
90mph
and 40 pound snow load is involved.
Thanks
