And a bilateral will take years to get .... especially for a country with

Even if gliders were presently included in LSA there is a problem keeping
the
Pipistrels from qualifing for LSA; they come from Slovenia and Slovenia
does
not have a bi-laterial airworthness agreement with the USA, so it would
not
qalify for LSA anyway.
The LSA door is not closed to gliders. It is just that no one could be
found to
fully see it through. But several people have worked on parts of it. It
will
get done, just not right now.
