Why "ha ha"? I flew (actually was flown) into JFK once in a Comanche to
catch a flight to Europe.

What was the landing fee?

I flew into Logan once; they had a sale going. For a month or so they
reduced the landing fee (at least for us little guys) to five dollars.
The controllers did a fine job and the approach was seamless. I had the
same experience into National (DC) some years back.

The fees later went right back to their usual level, and I bet they
approach three figures now, though I wouldn't be surprised if the
highest fees aren't at JFK but at smaller airports served by Signature.
