In my relatively short racing career of 8 or so years I don't remember this
occuring and the practical matter is that I didn't arrange for the extra
time off in order to get there on time assuming that when they said June
4-10 it meant the practice day was on Saturday. In fact even though I know
that the rules state it can happen, I can't remember another 7 day
regionals! I hope that others don't get caught assuming the same.

Funny, they told me a month or two ago when I asked specifically that
the practice day will be the 4th. Contest will be 5-10. Will have tow
planes available for practice on Friday the 3rd if you want to come in
early. Did they change the plan?
