Default Simple Green Aircraft Cleaner

They were giving away free samples at their booth at OSH and I brought
some home, a 32-oz. spray bottle. This afternoon I tried it on my
airplane.

Wow.

This stuff is amazing. I hadn't touched the belly of '87D in nearly a
year, and it was absolutely filthy with 140+ hours of oil and exhaust
residue. In about 20 minutes of work with the Simple Green, a soft
brush and a garden hose, I had the whole belly - and the wheels - and
the wheel wells - spotless. And I'm not even sure the brush was really
necessary for anything but the thickest crud in the wells.

There was a part of the belly just behind the exhaust pipe that I had
believed was permanently stained because nothing else I'd tried had
touched the stuff. I sprayed it with the SG, waited 2 minutes, and it
wiped right off.

I still had about a third of the bottle left when I was done, which
should be enough for at least one more cleanup if I only wait a couple
of months instead of a year. Since this stuff takes all the dread out
of the job, I expect I'll be doing it more often.

This is the best thing I ever brought home from OSH.
